You can apply to study overseas at institutions with which Keio University does not have a partnership. For this, you will need to apply directly to the overseas institution. You will have the choice to start your trip from either the Summer semester (April) or Winter semester (October).

Overseas study trips at your own expense apply to Keio University’s tuition exemption system.

You can go to German speaking countries for overseas fieldwork and internships over the Summer or Spring holidays. We strongly recommend this to students who have completed the short-term overseas study programme. Fieldwork such as conducting interviews, surveys, visiting locations, is an effective way for you to research your chosen topic (e.g. environmental problems, urban planning, design, etc.). You will be responsible for any arrangements with overseas institutions, companies etc.. Application for credits need to be submitted in advance at the Administration Office.
